**I created this myth**
“Astrid!” yelled a voice. Astrid Prince turned around and smiled at the owner.
“Hey Carla,” Astrid said to her best friend, Carla Peterson.
“What’ up? Why didn’t you come to 2-4-6 with us last night?” Carla asked, referring to a club. The two girls walked into a large building, a sign above the entrance read El Carne High School.
“I wasn’t feel well,” Astrid said with a shrug.
“You haven’t been well for a few days. What’s wrong?” Carla asked.
“I don’t know. I’ve been having some strange dreams lately,” Astrid replied.
“What kind of strange dreams?” her friend asked. Astrid didn’t reply immediately as she remembered her dream from last night; her extremely erotic and graphic dream. She was with a man, the most attractive man she’s ever seen. He had very hard muscles that covered every inch of his body. He had jet black hair and the most beautiful blue eyes. His face looked as if it had been sculpted by gods. There wasn’t one inch of this man what didn’t scream masculine...not one inch.
In Astrid’s dream, her and the man were on a king size bed with silk sheets that was located in an elaborately decorated room with gold and silver. They were both completely naked and he lowered onto the bed and laid on top of her.
His kisses were like fire and his touch was filled with love, passion, and desire. He wanted her and only her, as he whispered in her ear several times. He began to make love to Astrid and right when she was about orgasm, she woke with a start. She was always woke up sweating and breathing heavily, but always alone. It left her empty and always needing more. The thing is, Astrid had never met this person before, not in her waking world. She would have remembered meeting someone that reminded her of a Greek god.
“I don’t know. Just weird dreams,” Astrid lied. Normally she would tell her best friend about her hot dreams, but something was going on. It was only last night. This man that visited her dream last night wasn’t the first time she’s met him. Every night for the past week he’s entered her dreams and every time he seduced her, then she awoke before she climaxed each time.
“Well, maybe their trying to tell you something. Maybe their warning you against something,” Carla said.
“I hope that something comes soon,” Astrid said quietly to herself.
“What?”
“Nothing. I got to go. I’ll see you later,” Astrid replied. Carla waved and departed. Astrid walked into a bathroom and went to the sinks. She splashed cold water onto her face and wiped it off with paper towel. She looked at herself in the mirror.
Astrid was the most beautiful girl in school. It wasn’t a matter of opinion, it was a fact. She had long, beautiful blond hair with natural high lights. Her body was exquisite, every curve was perfect. While the man in her dreams was pure masculine, Astrid was one hundred percent feminine. Her eyes were a beautiful sea foam green, perfectly shaped with tiny gold specs around her pupil and lush, curly eyelashes to frame them. Her face had flawless angles without any blemishes or acne. Although she was so beautiful, she didn’t show it off or brag and she was not as envied by other girls as most would think. The reason is that Astrid is a very good person. She’s generous, loving, forgiving and she was always willing to listen and help whenever she could.
Although Astrid tried to give advice on anything she could, her specialty was love. If any of her friends were having boy or girl trouble, they came to Astrid. She would give out amazing advice on romance and love or even someone’s sex life. Astrid and Carla always found this ironic because Astrid has never had a real boyfriend and is still a virgin.
It’s not that Astrid doesn’t like dating or boys, but she could never find one she liked enough to have stick around. She always felt as if there was someone else out there waiting for her, watching over until they could finally meet.
“Maybe my dream lover,” Astrid muttered to herself as she thought of the man from her dream. Just thinking of him caused Astrid to feel desire prickle throughout her whole body and a slight shiver run down her spine. Ever since her erotic dreams started, she’s been sexually aroused much more than usual and they were getting harder to shake every time. Why was this happening? Who was the man who loved her in her dreams? Was it normal to have these dreams every night and then feel like this every day?
Astrid shook her head to clear her thoughts and decided she wouldn’t think about it today.
“So, what are you doing to do for your birthday?” Emily Franklin asked Astrid. Astrid and her friends Emily, James Mendel and Carla all had Mythology class third hour together. It was a new elective and they all decided it would be a cool course to take.
“Yeah, you don’t turn eighteen every day, you know? Are you going to go to a strip club? Buy a lottery ticket? What about porn and cigarettes?” James asked. Astrid shrugged.
“I don’t know. Maybe just have a few friends over for tomorrow,” she answered.
“Who will be there tomorrow?” Carla asked. It was Astrid’s eighteenth birthday tomorrow.
“You guys, maybe a few others.”
“Cool. I got the drinks,” James said. Carla said she’d grab the music and Emily was going to bring the cake.
“I can get these myself guys,” Astrid said.
“Yeah, but then you’d be working on your birthday and that’s not allowed,” Emily said. Astrid smiled gratefully at her friends and turned to the front of the class when the bell rang.
The teacher, Joshua Olson, was a good teacher, one of Astrid’s favorites. He knows a lot about mythology, which is ideal for this subject, and actually had a PhD in it. There was a rumor that said he once worked at Harvard, but was fired for some kind of discretion that he never talked about. The rumor also said he taught this subject at Princeton, which would explain why he’s such a great teacher.
“Okay everyone, settle down. Let’s get this class started,” he said, standing in front of the class. “How did you guys think of the Roman mythology test yesterday?”
“That was hard, man. The Roman’s had too many gods,” said Cory Hendrickson.
“Well, if you think that the Roman’s had too many gods, then you’re not going to like this next unit, Mr. Hendrickson,” Olson said. “We’re going to be studying Greek mythology for the next few weeks. They have more gods and goddesses than the Romans and more stories as well. The thing about these myths is that many of them include humans. The Romans had a few of these, but their gods usually didn’t interfere with mortal lives. The Greek gods loved to toy with humans in any way they could. Now, what we’re going to do for this unit is that we’re first going to start off with studying the main gods that are commonly known to everyone.”
Olson turned on the electronic projector and pulled down the screen it was displayed on. He had a Power Point presentation set up. He triggered the name of the gods as he listed them off.
“Zeus, heavenly king of the gods and ruler of mankind. Hera, mature goddess of the Family. Poseidon, moody god of the sea. Athena, sophisticated goddess of wisdom and skill. She is also the goddess of war, but only uses war for justice. Demeter, natural goddess of the harvest. Hades, gloomy god of the underworld. Artemis, wild goddess of the hunt. Apollo, youthful god of the sun and music. Hermes, the cunning messenger god. Hephaestus, the lame black smith god. Dionysus, joyful god of wine. Hestia, calm goddess of hearth. Persephone, goddess of the underworld,” he listed. Something strange happened. Astrid got a peculiar sense of anger when he said Persephone’s name. “Ares, the blood thirsty god of war.” At Ares’ name, she felt her heart skip several beats her breath caught in her lungs. “Eros, handsome god of love, otherwise known as Cupid.” Then she felt love at Eros’ name. “And finally, Aphrodite, the goddess of love, beauty, eternal youth and sexuality.” At Aphrodite’s name, she felt a strange sense of pride.
Astrid closed her eyes and took a deep breath, trying to regain control over her emotions. What is going on with me? she asked herself.
“Now, these gods and goddesses are very well known to most everyone who has studied even a little Greek mythology. They all play a significant role in the history of Greece as well as its mythology. They all have their own story, some much more interesting than others. These stories are basically the soap operas of Ancient Greece. There is love, jealousy, hatred, rivalry, death, rebirth, and power,” Olson continued. “So, I think, because there is so much to learn here, that I’m going to give you guys a project to do. You and your group members will choose a god or goddess to study and present them to the class not this Monday, but the next. I will give you tomorrow and Monday to work on them in class, other than that you’re on your own.
“I’m not particular on how you do your projects. You can create a Power Point or you can film a movie re-creating one of the stories from your god or goddesses past. Get creative.”
“Can we pick our groups?” asked Courtney Benson.
“Yes, you may choose your groups. But, only four members to a group,” said Olson. There was a collective yes throughout the class.
“Okay, group, who are we going to do?” asked Emily.
“Aphrodite,” Astrid said immediately.
“Of course you’d pick her,” Carla said, laughing at her friend. They told Olson and he gave them the requirements for their project. They chose to do a movie, deciding it would be more fun than a Power Point.
“Tomorrow we can research the different stories of Aphrodite and pick which one to act out,” James said.

Astrid was sitting on a large bed under silk red sheets. She was naked and waiting. She looked around the stunning room. There were elegant weapons hanging on the walls along with priceless artworks in gold frames.
The door of the room opened and Astrid almost gasped as she gaped. He certainly was gorgeous. There was no other word to describe him. He was wearing a white tunic on his waist with a gold threaded sash tied around it, his chest completely bare. He also had a long, beautiful sword attached to his hip that he took off and leaned it against the desk near the door. He looked up and stared at her with his striking blue eyes and gave her a dazzling smile.
“Hello, my love,” he said, his voice so deep and so melodic it sent shivers through Astrid’s body. She could only smile up at him. No one has ever made her speechless, no one except him.
“You’re late,” Astrid finally said.
“I know, and I am very sorry,” he said, walking over and laid down on the bed next to her. He propped himself on his elbow and gazed down at her, his eyes filled with love and passion. She raised her hand and traced his incredible muscles on his chest. She felt goose bump underneath her finger tips.
“How are you today, my love?” he asked, his voice barely above a whisper. He placed his hand in Astrid’s hair and stroked it lovingly.
“I’m not sure. Something strange is happening to me,” she said, savoring his touch.
“I know. Don’t worry. It will all make sense in time,” he said.
“What is it though? Why won’t you tell me?” she asked.
“It’s okay, my love,” he said, his voice tranquil. They were both silent for a few minutes.
“Who are you?” Astrid asked. He didn’t answer. “Please, I have to know. You come to me every night and every night, when it ends, I feel so empty and alone. You say you love me, that you’ll always love me. And I know that I’m in love with you. I never knew I could feel this way for someone, but I don’t know who you are. Not even your name. I need to know.”
He placed a finger on her lips.
“Shh, my love. There’s no need to fret. You’ll find out soon,” he answered.
“When?” Astrid asked. He looked at her with sympathy.
“Tomorrow. You’ll find out tomorrow,” he whispered. He didn’t let Astrid continue her questions. He leaned down and kissed her. She subdued and kissed him back. She melted completely, like she did every time. She put her arms around his broad, muscular shoulders and pulled him closer to her. He laid on top of her, pressing himself against her. She could feel his longing for her against her bare thigh through his cloth and she almost gasped at the feel of it.
Her hands slowly crept down his hard stomach and reached his sash. She gently tugged on it and pulled it away, the tunic falling off of him. She could feel him naked against her and her body trembled with pleasure.
His kisses became more passionate as he inched his hands across her body. She gasped at his touch and he kissed her neck, his tongue tasting her as he went. He slowly moved his lips down and placed them on her breast, causing Astrid to let out a sensual moan. His tongue danced tantalizingly across her hard nipple, making her almost squirm with pleasure.
“Oh, God. You’re so perfect,” she said. He moved his way back up to her lips, his kisses more fervent than before.
She could feel him throbbing against her thigh and she wanted him more than anything she’s ever wanted in her life. As if reading her mind, he slowly moved inside of her. She dug her nails into his back, but he acted as if he didn’t even notice. She felt him quiver.
“Oh, my love,” he said, his voice husky and deep. He slowly began moving against her, causing her to moan with each tender thrust. She heard his groans and it caused her to begin coming faster. Astrid was so close, she could feel it coming. Her body was slowly losing control as her back began arching in pleasure. She was almost there.
“I’m sorry, my love,” her lover said.
“No, please,” Astrid begged. Then everything went black.
Astrid abruptly sat up in bed. Sweat drenched every inch of her body and she breathed heavily. She tried to swallow but her mouth was completely dry. She groaned and fell back into her pillows, which were wet with perspiration.
Just like the past seven times she’s woken up from these dreams, she felt empty and alone. She was cold without his arms around her and she pulled her blankets around her.
“Who are you?” Astrid whispered, closing her eyes and seeing her dream lover. The dreams were so real and so vivid. She could feel his hands on her body, his powerful, yet gentle arms wrapping themselves around her. How is it possible he was only in her dreams? Could he ever be real?
Nice.
ReplyDeleteI'm not normally big on guy/girl stories because I can find that anywhere (including my own lovelife) but I like the mythological twist in there. That was cool. I used to follow Greek mythology alot when I was a kid. These days I'm more interested in Norse and Eastern European mythology than anything else but it's still cool to reflect.
You have a nice chapter here. Keep up the good work.
I am normally not into the guy/girl stories either. I did try having Astrid being with a woman, but it didn't really fit into the direction I wanted the story to go. I have plenty of girl/girl stories that I'll post and I do hope that you enjoy them as well.
ReplyDeleteTo tell the truth - I only browse over the story - not the right way to appreciate your work - Sry.
ReplyDeleteBut to tell the truth I personal get queasy with the guy and feel only sorrow for the girl - that`s it for my - sry again.
But here is something about a Aphrodite-project:
